Apparently they’re Brewer’s Blackbirds. They are the most evil of things: the avian equivalent of piranha. They live for unattended Meow Mix. One of the wild cats I care for wants get up close and personal with them . . . so . . . very . . . badly.

Thank you so much! For the lion’s share of my life, I wasn’t a cat person. But that changed about three years ago when – out of all the houses in the neighborhood – they just started showing up on my doorstep: one after another, after another, after another. They’re a big deal with me now!
