The season ‘owns’ the land, doesn’t it? Writing haiku has helped me further my appreciation of things I/we would otherwise walk by and take for granted. I’ve found it sooooo relaxing to take a walk and harvest ideas while I’m observing nature. Thanks again, my friend!
Your haiku and tanka are gentle observances. Would you care to join The Mindful Writing Challenge in Jan ’13 – there is a link on my site to this endeavor.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit. – it reminded me to come and look your way.
Winter gets a bad rap so to speak because it is cold. But each season is needed and needs to be honored.
Thank you so much for your kinds words about my writing!
I appreciate the invitation! I took a quick look at the challenge via your link. It sounds quite interesting – and quite doable (for me, free time is often at a premium). I’ll mull it over a bit before committing, but I likely will participate.
I really like this one. I can feel the season enter and claim the land
